California Freifechter: Meyer Freifechter Guild Region VI

The California Freifechter are the Region VI arm of the Meyer Freifechter Guild and a registered Affiliate of the HEMA Alliance. Our member groups focus on the study of both Historical Fencing and European Martial Arts as taught by Joachim Meyer in his published work of 1570. 

We help to provide support to groups located throughout California and the West Coast. Some of our groups are fully functioning classes that provide lessons based upon our regional curriculum while others are comprised of study groups that are recently formed or are otherwise not offering structured curriculum at this time. Be sure to check a group you are interested in to find out what services they provide. We currently have groups in:

• Bay Area Freifechter - Walnut Creek, CA
• Fremont Freifechter - Fremont, CA
• Santa Cruz Freifechter - Santa Cruz, CA

Beyond our groups in the United States we also provide support for one of the MFFG's international arms the North Blazing Sun, Club de Esgrima Histórica a Historical Fencing and HEMA group located in Baja California, Mexico that trains in the Art of Meyer.
